“CUHK Business School Alumni Data Update Campaign”
Launched to Welcome CUHK Golden Jubilee

The Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office launched the "CUHK Business School Alumni Data Update Campaign" on 22 November 2012, which will run until February 2013. In a drive towards creating a reliable and comprehensive database of 25,000 global alumni, alumni will be invited to update their personal information. This will enable more effective communication with alumni, including keeping them informed of upcoming events, such as the commemorative activities being held to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the CUHK and the CUHK Business School next year. An email sent to alumni on 22 November provides more information on the campaign and details of how to update your data. We look forward to your continued support to the Business School.

Join the Open House for a Tour to Your Alma Mater

Alumni are invited to bring family and friends on a visit to their Alma Mater, as the CUHK Business School holds an Open House at the Cheng Yu Tung Building on Sunday, 2 December 2012. The event, which coincides with the 2012 CUHK Alumni Homecoming, will take place between 12 noon and 2pm, when alumni will have the opportunity to reminisce with fellow schoolmates and meet students and faculty members. The day will include walking tours of iconic sites around the building, an exhibition and video, plus a tea reception. Registration has now closed, but walk-ins on the day are very welcome.

The Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office
on Facebook and LinkedIn

The Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office is embracing social media, having recently launched a Facebook page and a CUHK Business School Alumni Group on LinkedIn. Alumni will now be able to stay connected with the Business School, and each other, wherever they are in the world. As well as learning about the latest developments of the Business School and the University, alumni can find news of upcoming events, view videos and photos of past events, access the alumni e-newsletter and share comments with others in the group.

New Facilities Give Cheng Yu Tung Building a Boost

Cheng Yu Tung Building, the home of the CUHK Business School, has been given a boost with the addition of colourful new sofas, chairs and tables in the spacious corridors on levels 2 and 3. The building, with its student-run Café 12, is a popular gathering place where students, faculty members and guests meet to work or chat over a leisurely breakfast or lunch. Prof. T. J. Wong, Dean of the CUHK Business School, welcomed the enhanced comfort of the additional space that the new layout provides and hoped that these new facilities would serve to strengthen a sense of belonging amongst students and encourage them to treat the building as a second home.
