Open House for Alumni Homecoming Day
Saturday, 7 December

The CUHK Business School welcomes everyone to its 50th Anniversary celebration at an Open House on Saturday, 7 December. Held from 2pm to 4pm at the Cheng Yu Tung Building lobby, the event forms part of the 2013 CUHK Alumni Homecoming. Memorable photos from the recent 'Those Were the Days at CUHK Business School' photo campaign will be featured at the Open House, and a prize presentation will take place for the winning entries. Other highlights include guided tours and exhibition panels tracing the development of the Business School over the last five decades. Click here for more information or just register here.
Global Leader Series Economic Forum
Full-version Video Available


A full-length video of the Global Leader Series Economic Forum is now available. Organised by the Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office, this golden jubilee event drew over 600 international attendees from business, academic and diplomatic ranks. Titled 'The Rise of the Asian Century', the forum featured four world-renowned economists: Liu Mingkang, former Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission; Robert C. Merton, 1997 Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Finance at MIT; Lawrence J. Lau, Chairman of CIC International (Hong Kong) Co., Limited; and Fred Hu, Chairman of Primavera Capital Group.

Winners Unveiled in Business School's
Golden Jubilee Photo Collection Campaign

The photo campaign to celebrate CUHK Business School's 50th Anniversary reached a successful conclusion as our judging panel chose winners from over 300 entries. Our sponsors' generous support let us expand the number of prizes from 10 to 15 for 'most memorable entries' in both 'alumni' and 'public' categories in addition to a 'most liked entry award' as voted via Facebook. A prize presentation will be held at the Business School's Open House on Saturday, 7 December, and the winning photos will be exhibited in the Cheng Yu Tung Building lobby until 30 December. to Stay Connected


Our newly revamped CUHK Business School Alumni Database has triggered many positive responses from alumni who appreciate its user-friendly and comprehensive functionality. We thank those who have reactivated their account. To maximise enjoyment, we have introduced colourful birthday e-cards with four themes: 'balloons', 'candles', 'party' and 'splash'. Alumni can now choose their favourite birthday e-cards to send to their former classmates and friends and more easily and creatively stay connected with them. Top-Ten Result in Global CIMA Exam for MBA Alum


MBA 2012 graduate Simon Yuen placed seventh among 1,253 candidates worldwide in the Master Gateway Examination given by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. "The MBA program's inspiring lectures prepared me well, as did the English communication skills honed in class," he explained. Seasoned in cargo operation management, Simon is now preparing for the Strategic Level Examination in May 2014. Congratulations, Simon, and best wishes!

400 Participants Get Acquainted at Undergraduate
Mentorship Program Launch

Some 400 mentors and mentees in the 2013-2014 Undergraduate Mentorship Program packed Cheng Yu Tung Building on 26 October for a kick-off ceremony co-organised by the BBA Alumni Association and the Undergraduate Office of CUHK Business School. The program matches mentors and mentees based on career interests so that the accomplished professionals can give the students valuable advice. Guest speaker Roy Chung, a veteran entrepreneur and co-founder of Techtronic Industries Co. Limited, shared the ingredients to his success. At the end, Mr. Raymond Lo, President of BBA Alumni Association, announced scholarship awards for three outstanding students.
