Alumni and Friends Enjoy CUHK Business School
Open House at Cheng Yu Tung Building

CUHK Business School welcomed over 250 alumni, students, former professors, faculty members, and their families and friends to an Open House on 7 December. Dean T. J. Wong, Associate Deans Vernon Hsu, Dennis Fan and Stella So as well as Director of EMBA (Chinese) Program Timon Du presented prizes to the winners of the 'Those Were the Days at CUHK Business School' photo campaign. The Open House also featured exhibition panels tracing the Business School's history since its founding, student-led guided tours, and a tea reception. Inspiring Words Highlight CUHK Business School
Master's Degree Graduation Ceremony


On 23 November, the Master's Degree (2012-2013) Graduation Ceremony drew over 650 postgraduate students of the CUHK Business School and 1,400 guests. The guest of honour, Dr. Fan Kungsheng, President of CIC International (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd., captivated the audience with his insights on failure and how to overcome adversity. The ceremony also proved memorable thanks to a speech by Dean
Prof. T. J. Wong before he concludes his five-year deanship in January. He encouraged the graduates to find a dream career as he has to love what they do and do what they love. Please read here.
CUHK Business School Taiwan Alumni Association
Hosts Spirited AGM and Dinner

The CUHK Business School Taiwan Alumni Association convened its Annual General Meeting on 23 November in Taipei. The banquet room was packed with over 160 guests comprising Taiwanese alumni of the CUHK Business School as well as professors, staff and alumni of fellow Taiwan universities. A fundraiser during the dinner proved successful for the Taiwanese Association of Persons with Diabetes to help people afflicted with diabetes. The evening ended in high spirits as everyone sang an alumnus-penned song celebrating friendship.

'THE PERFORMER' Now Available


The Career Management Center of MBA Programs proudly presents the Internship Resume Book for the Full-time MBA Class of 2015. Apart from the students' individual profiles, this publication also brings out the strengths and passions of these high-potential performers that will help contribute to the growth of their future organizations and society as a whole. Students will be available for summer internships from mid-June to late August 2014 and part-time study/ curriculum-related internships during their study terms. CUHK and the Business School Stand Out
at ACCA Professional Examinations

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Hong Kong (ACCA Hong Kong) held its New Member Reception cum Top Achievers' Awards Presentation on 7 November. Sixteen awards went to CUHK and CUHK Business School candidates three ranked in the top 20 for December 2012 and three for June 2013. Two Business School alumni Joseph Chow, MSc in Finance 2001 and MBA 2003, claimed the Silver Medal (2012 session), and Joey Chan, Integrated BBA 2010, claimed the Bronze Medal (2013 session). Their top-three honours came among ACCA Hong Kong's 4,000 examinees.

Options for the funding and incubation of entrepreneurial activities made up the theme of the seventh forum organized by the Center for Business Innovation and Globalization (Center BiG), hosted at CUHK's Shenzhen Research Institute on 2 November. Edward Suning Tian, Chairman of CBC Capital, and Hongwei Wang, Director of the Shenzhen Nanshan Hi-Tech Incubator, delivered keynote speeches while experts from Silicon Valley, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China shared their views on the development of the ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
