Dean Prof. Vernon Hsu, newly installed to lead the Business School, offered a warm welcome to everyone upon taking office on 1 February. Dean Prof. Hsu pledged to continue the outstanding tradition of our business education and urged our more than 27,000 alumni around the world to connect with one another and the Business School. New Professional Workshop Series:
First Seminar to Examine 'Wine'

The Business School unveils a highly informative Professional Workshop Series to enrich our alumni with wide-ranging practical knowledge and skills. Organised by the Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office, the theme of the inaugural workshop, to be held on 14 April, is wine. Ms. Debra Meiburg, one of only two holders of a Master of Wine (MW) in Hong Kong, will help our alumni confidently gain savvy about wine tasting and wine market trends for mixing with business associates and social acquaintances. MBA Mentors and Mentees Ring in Year of the Horse

On 19 February, approximately 100 mentors and mentees of the MBA Elite Mentorship Program ushered in the new Year of the Horse and got better acquainted. Dean Prof. Vernon Hsu encouraged the students to seize every chance to learn inside and outside of the classroom, and thanked the mentors for generously sharing their valuable time and expertise. Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award 2012
Bestowed on Business School Prof. Didier Guillot

CUHK Business School’s Prof. Didier Guillot was recognised with a Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award 2012, given to outstanding teachers of each faculty during the 74th Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees on 23 November 2013. Prof. Guillot described his teaching philosophy as putting students' learning first. After approximately 10 years of teaching, including four at the Business School, he called the award "wonderful confirmation" of his hard work.

Influential Annual CUHK MBA CSR Conference
Scheduled for May

The 2014 CUHK MBA CSR conference is scheduled for 28 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and will highlight 'Success through CSR Innovation' with a special focus on the hot CSR topic of 'Create Shared Value'. Hailed by The Financial Times as Asia's finest non-profit CSR conference, this major event has proved a great success for seven consecutive years and aims to draw over 300 participants, enabling top executives, SME owners, civil society and other industry professionals to share best practices. Hosts Talk by Top HKSAR Official

On 24 January, the Honourable Mr. Paul Chan, the Secretary for Development and a CUHK Business School alumnus, kicked off a new BBA Alumni Association series on 'Public Policy: Objectives and Execution' with his speech 'Policy Address 2014: Land Supply'. Mr. Chan examined the goals and implications of Hong Kong's land supply policies before friends and members of the association. Everyone enjoyed an insightful evening full of fun and knowledge.
