High Turnout and Positive Feedback for Wine Workshop


The inaugural event of our professional workshop series, themed on wine, generated enthusiasm. Over 70 alumni and postgraduate students participated on 14 April. With humour and charisma, Ms. Debra Meiburg MW gave an engaging overview of the regional wine industry and shared insights on product trends and wine-tasting techniques. The workshop offered invaluable practical knowledge and skills, and each attendee received a certificate. The collected participation fees will support the CUHK Business School Development Fund. A casual Happy Hour will be held on Friday, 23 May, to bring current MBA students and recent alumni together at Dusk till Dawn, one of Wanchai's most popular watering holes. Business School Alumni Urged to Attend
Corporate Governance Forum


The second conference on Institutions and Governance will be held 30 and 31 May, drawing top scholars to examine high-quality multidisciplinary research on institutions and corporate governance. A Corporate Governance Forum is scheduled for the afternoon of the second day and is free for all CUHK Business School alumni to join. Distinguished forum panellists will discuss what everyone needs to know about corporate governance when investing in Chinese firms.

Beijing-Tianjin Alumni Association Annual Dinner
Stimulates Unity and Loyalty

The Beijing-Tianjin Alumni Association's annual dinner was held on 22 March at Hilton Beijing. Over 100 alumni from Beijing and other parts of China enjoyed a sumptuous dinner in a friendly ambience. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph Sung opened the festivities with videotaped welcome remarks. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Michael Hui and Dean of CUHK Business School Prof. Vernon Hsu gave an update on the soon-to-debut Shenzhen campus. BiG Forum Highlights Innovation as Key to Startups

On 15 March at the Academic Report Hall of the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute, the BiG Forum addressed how business innovation can fuel startup success. Featuring keynote speaker Mr. Jinglian Gao, CEO of Guangdong Guobi Technology Limited Company, the event focused on the topic 'From Single Technology to Comprehensive Industrial Ecosystem, Achieving Startup Success via Continuous Business Innovation'. A panel discussion examined the direction of company transformations.
