This year’s Chinese New Year e-cards feature artwork created by primary school students through The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong. Themed Blossoms, the Spring season and the Rooster, each beautiful e-card can be freely shared with your friends. “We believe young people are the future of society, and we hope this meaningful initiative draws awareness to the challenges faced by those in need,” said Ms. Florence Lai, Alumni and Corporate Affairs Director. Donating His Bright Future to Disadvantaged Children
With 10As in his HKCEE, a corporate finance job and a Harvard MBA, Arnold Chan (BBA 2010) is the envy of his peers. Rejecting societal values however, Arnold gave up his promising career for a humanitarian cause. Inspired by his time abroad, the 28-year-old launched Teach4HK, a non-profit organisation that recruits university graduates to teach at schools in low-income communities, offering underprivileged children a chance to receive equal education. Polish Up Your Corporate Digitisation Know-How
CUHK Business School is pleased to be supporting the upcoming ‘Digital Marketing and Digital Transformation Strategies’ Program hosted by ET Business College. Families Bond Over a Good Cause
CUHK Business School was invited for the third year by The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong to be the sole academic supporter of RBC Race for the Kids Hong Kong on 4 December 2016. Themed ‘Heads Up’, it promoted exercise and family time through races and a fun-filled carnival. Joined by Business School students and alumni, one of whom took home a championship, the event attracted over 3,500 participants and successfully raised over HK$1 million towards children with special educational needs. Alumni Enjoy a Festive Happy Hour
to Celebrate Christmas

On 7 December 2016, over 150 Business School alumni celebrated Christmas over Happy Hour at the Azure Restaurant Slash Bar of Hotel LKF by Rhombus, connecting with faculty, students and fellow alumni across industries, professions and even generations. Hosted by Prof. Dennis Fan, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Ms. Stephanie Villemagne, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and Director of MBA Programs, the delightful festivities included refreshments as well as fabulous lucky draw prizes. Ringing in the New Year Through the THU-CUHK FMBA Financial Summit and Annual Dinner
The Tsinghua University-The Chinese University of Hong Kong MBA Program in Finance hosted its annual Financial Summit and New Year Party on Saturday, 3 December 2016 at the ballroom of Le Méridien Huizhou in Shenzhen. Over 300 participants gathered to hear from distinguished leaders across various sectors, who shared their views on the global economy. The lively party that followed included a Chinese banquet, as well as singing, dancing, a fashion show, a lucky draw with over 50 fabulous prizes and finally a 10-minute fireworks display. Social Angels Roll Up Their Sleeves for Social Causes
Held on 6 December 2016 at the MBA Town Centre, the Social Angel Final Presentation 2016 marked the conclusion of the 6-month Social Angels Mentoring Program established by the EMBA Alumni Association together with The Hong Kong Council of Social Services. The event was presented by the mentoring program’s six teams, which comprised accomplished business executives who offered practical business advice to six social enterprises, embodying the EMBA Program’s 6th pillar of social contribution even beyond graduation. Accountancy Alumni Celebrate 30 Years of Growth
In honour of the Professional Accountancy Program’s 30th anniversary, the School of Accountancy hosted an Alumni Dinner at Cordis Hong Kong in Langham Place on 30 November 2016. The celebrations included about 250 alumni, faculty members and industry friends, who received the latest updates from Prof. Kalok Chan, Dean of CUHK Business School, and Prof. Gu Zhaoyang, Director of the School of Accountancy.
